Hotel Location

La Puertecita Hotel is in the most exclusive neighborhood in San Miguel de Allende, El Atascadero. It is a short walk to el Jardin yet away from the buzz and noises of downtown el centro. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. The staff was superb down to every detail. The service includes a shuttle anytime to anywhere in town free of charge. The spa and pool looked heavenly though I did not get to use either one. The food at the hotel restaurant was outstanding, try the coconut shrimp with orange sauce. The place is a famous wedding spot due to its romantic setting, natural gardens with flowering bugambilias all year around. La Puertecita is definitely my home in San Miguel.
