San Miguel de Allende, the colonial city in the state of Guanajuato, received a recognition as “The best destiny in Mexico” by the specialized magazine Food and Travel, being better qualified than other places as Los Cabos, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Ensenada and Playa del Carmen.
This recognition is proof of the coordinated work of government, citizens, entrepreneurs and service suppliers of this area, positioning the city as a window of the state for the rest of the world.
The major of San Miguel said that “this is the result of the coordinated work between government, society and business men. San Miguel de Allende offers not only amusement, culture and entertainment, but an experience of life to locals and tourists". More than 15,500 persons voted on line, giving San Miguel the first place in the survey.
Last year, the city was named “The best city to visit in the world” by the specialized magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
